Operations runbook
Prepare, deploy, validate, monitor, recover, and document the portable Node and Kubernetes distribution with explicit evidence gates.
The runbook defines required acceptance. It does not claim a live Kubernetes install, restore rehearsal, upgrade, or managed cloud smoke has passed.
Use this reference when
- Preparing a controlled pilot or change window with named owners and rollback criteria.
- Building health, readiness, backup, restore, upgrade, and routine-review procedures.
- Responding to session, credential, audit-integrity, or unexpected-egress incidents.
What it covers
Preflight and acceptance
Immutable versions, durable storage, secret custody, configuration review, deployment commands, and a fourteen-step smoke contract.
Operate and recover
Health versus readiness, routine checks, backups, isolated restore, upgrades, compatibility verification, and rollback triggers.
Respond with evidence
Incident playbooks, safe diagnostics bundles, managed cloud checks, and the evidence required before status claims change.
